About Me:

Photography to me is about capturing a moment - a relic of time that can be valued forever.

Relic Imagery was born from a love of photography as documentation and as an art form. The images you see on this website are a combination of preserving memories for myself and others, but also artworks that were created from images in my mind. I love nothing better than envisioning an idea for an artwork and seeing it through to completion. It gives me a great thrill.

I hope that the thrill photography gives me shows through in my work.

My photographic style is natural, candid and emotional. I aim to capture the true essence of a person - their idiosyncracies, expressions, personality. I don't expect children (or adults) to look at me and grin "CHEESE" but to be themselves, interact with people and the environment around them and generally relax and be themselves. I specialise in older kids and families, teens and couples.

Some tidbits about me:

• I am a mum to two children, who dislike having their photos taken, one pooch, one kitteh and one turtle.
• I am a wife to one ridiculously patient and understanding husband.
• I love shooting in long grass. It's an addiction.
• I prefer to shoot in barefeet
• I love whimsy, fantasy, sunshine, and I adore having these elements in my photographs.
• I'm not very domestically inclined, much to the chagrin of my husband.
• I am excited to have been accepted into Deakin Uni this year to study Media and Communication.
• I'm a dreamer and an idealist.

I am based in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, and able to travel to a location of your choice (travel fees may apply, please enquire). Ideas for locations include, your home, local park, beach etc. I prefer to work in natural light.
